Pre-Requisites:
As per Yoga Alliance's 2016 Policy, our course on yoga therapy can be registered as "Holistic Yoga Teacher Training with an Ayurvedic Approach" with yoga alliance. Our school will certify you as a yoga therapist under "Abhijna School of Yoga's Therapists Database" as the yoga therapy components of our course are based on Abhijna School of Yoga and Meditation Techniques and Training, not derived from our Status as RYS with Yoga Alliance Registry". REFUND POLICY FOR ALL OUR YOGA TEACHER'S TRAINING PROGRAM
- Deposits are non-refundable, non-transferrable, nor exchangeable for any other service/store item, etc.
- No change of course is allowed, neither changing from a Yoga TTC to a Yoga Holiday.
- A Student can withdraw from the training until the 4th day (Saturday and Registration day included) by 10 am from the course’s starting date. In this case, the school will refund the remaining course fee (minus taxes and paypal transfer charges) which were paid a week before starting the course. Manuals must be returned in a proper condition otherwise a 100 USD restocking fee will be deducted, all course materials should be returned.
- An email/written letter should be sent to the school director upon taking a decision to discontinue the course before 11 am on the forth day.
- Early exit and late arrival are not allowed for all courses. In special cases the school may consider a 24 H early exit or late arrival. In this case the student will incur on payment of a 100 USD fine for his/her rescheduling the exams. The fine is also applicable for students who come on a later date to take exams.
- Taxes and Paypal fees are not refundable whether paid with the deposit or with remaining course fee.
- Upon claiming a refund, the student should bring the receipt, course manuals, yoga kits (if any) as well the house keys.
- Upon course discontinuation assigned room should be left in a proper and clean condition and the coordinator will inspect the room after receiving the course’s discontinuation letter.

OTHER INFORMATION TO KEEP IN MIND
Food
Course fees do not include food, if you wish to include food, you can book the meals of your choice at the "Abhijna Cafe". Wholesome ayurvedic Indo-vegetarian food is served from Monday through Saturday. (Breakfast+ Lunch or Dinner, provided from Monday to Saturday - and Saturday Lunch only) costs 175 USD per month per person. You will also be provided a kitchen if you wish to cook.
Accommodation
- Twin Shared included in the Course Fees:
- Furnished twin-shared with attached bath is included on the course fees. For details and pictures of the accommodation visit link http://www.yogakerala.net/accomodation. The school housing premises is moderate, designed to meet the basic requirements of an spiritual aspirant. They contain rooms with light, windows and fans. The rooms are clean, airy and simple. Single or Double occupancy with attached toilet and bath facilities.
- Accommodation is 5 to 10 min walking distance from the Yoga Shala. The Yoga Center is 10 min walking distance from the ocean.
- SINGLE ACCOMMODATION AVAILABLE ON PREVIOUS BOOKING: Single room accommodation is only provided with previous booking, they have an extra fee of USD 250 plus 15% service tax and 4.6% paypal fee (non-refundable), which should be sent with the initial deposit. We are unable to provide single accommodation upon arrival. All accommodations are provided with common kitchen.
Visa
- Most countries need a Visa to come to India. Kindly Apply for a Tourist Visa, purpose of Visit: Tourism in Kerala.
- Check with the local embassy of india in your country regarding visa. Most countries require a visa to enter into India.
- Apply for a Tourist Visa, purpose of visit: tourism in kerala. If you need the name and address as referal, email us and we will send it to you.
- Do not come on a 30-day on-arrival visa, this type of visa may not give you enough time to complete the training. If your visa expires you will need to leave the country one day prior to the expiration date, and the school will not entertain any early departures. You will have to come back at a later date to complete the course.
- Check that you come with enough time left on your visa to complete the course, stamped visas for india, start running since the day your visa is approved.
- Please remember the school is not responsible for visa regulations and any other changes made by the Indian embassy.
Safety
Students are asked to full responsibility for their personal belongings, the school provides lockable rooms. Students should dress properly as per the Indian Culture outside of the classroom setting (Pants below the knee and shirts with sleeves, a scarf around the shoulders if wearing a sleeveless shirt). The institution will not be held responsible for any mishap. Everybody must take full responsibility of their own health and welfare, follow the carefew and abide by the code of conduct at all times.
How to Reach Varkala, Kerala
The nearest airport to travel into is THIRUVANANTHAPURAM (TRIVANDRUM – TRV). You can take a pre-paid taxi service from Trivandrum International Airport to Varkala, if you are arriving early, check into a hotel or guest house and make sure you come the day prior to the course's starting date between 2-4 pm for check in.The school is not responsible for the flights or the charges incurred by the student to arrive and exit the course.
